Excellence Center for Sleep Disorders

King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital

Providing analysis and diagnosis in patients with sleep disorders

In 2003, Somdet Phraya Sangworn, Patriarch Sangkathanai, kindly donated King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital 2 sets of sleep analyzers and medical equipment needed for examination in the medical department. In 2004, The Sleep diagnosis center was officially established for sleep disorder examination and diagnosis in patients with sleep disorders. The well-equipped medical device has supported effective medical care while it has benefited the physicians, physician students and related personnel.

In 2010, according to King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital’s policy,  the Excellence Center was aiming to be a mechanism to develop a comprehensive medical service system and increase international competitiveness while it responds to complex health requirements in the public. The Excellence Center for Sleep Disorders was then established under King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital’s management.

In 2013, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital had expanded a new service at Special Inpatient, 14-Story Building, 5th Floor. Accordingly, Somdet Phraya Sangworn, Patriarch Sangkathanai, honorably granted the title to the center  “Nidra Vej Center” (Excellence Center for Sleep Disorders) as favourable encouragement for the medical personnel.
