The Outpatient Department is a front-line service provider of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. It has commitments to effectively serving patients for patient registration, patients identification, medical records preparation, patients admission, medical welfare and external relation for reimbursement including National health insurance office, Social security office, private insurance, and Ministry of finance.

The Outpatient Department is a department which provides outpatient services with morality, generosity and high quality by using the principle of good governance so that the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital will be the role model for outpatient services provider to other institutions.

  1. To provide services for patient registration, identification, medical records, medical welfare with standard and quality.
  2. To provide services for patient admission using patients-centered standard protocol.
  3. To follow King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital’s strategy plan for quality development for outpatient services.

The Outpatient Department is composed of 3 divisions as follows: 

  1. Outpatient medical records. 
  2. Patient admissions. 
  3. Development and operational management.

Services

The services of each division of the Outpatient Department are as follows: 

Outpatient Medical Records

  1. Providing services of patient registration to the hospital system and medical record preparation.
  2. Providing services of patient registration to the clinics.
  3. Providing services of medical welfare and external relation for reimbursement including National health insurance office, Social security office, private insurance, and Ministry of finance.
  4. Providing services of temperature scanning of people entering the outpatient buildings
  5. Providing services of kios operation
  6. Providing proactive services for initial response to patient difficulty
  7. Providing a 24 hour service.

Patient admissions

  1. Providing services for inpatient bed reservation.
  2. Providing services for inpatient registration to the ward.
  3. Managing the hospital beds.
  4. Providing a fax claim service for private life insurance.
  5. Providing services for reimbursement for the hospital services. 
  6. Providing a prehospital service to inpatients prior to the hospital admissions.
  7. Providing a 24 hour service.

Development and operational management

  1. Data collection, monitoring and analysis.
  2. Strategic plan and operational plan.
  3. Clinic operational monitoring.
  4. General administration.
  5. Development plan of the outpatient department.
