Formerly the Central Transport Administration Department, it was established as “Central Transport Administration Center” in 2015, taking charge of transportation services at the Bhumisiri Mangkhalanusorn building.It is a part of King Chulalongkorn Hospital’s strategy of excellent medical services and health care to people at all levels, in order to develop an inpatient and emergency patient service system. Later, the management team agreed to expand the transportation system capacity all through the hospital from 1st October 2018. And the Central Transport Administration Department was established. From 1 November 2019 onward, the Vehicle Unit was reorganized to be under the Central Transport Administration Department for transportation effectiveness.

Services
Object Transportation
To provide a transportation service of food, hygiene medical supplies, cloths, medicines, medical specimens, medical equipment, normal saline, oxygen tubes, blood and medical records.
Patient Transportation
An inpatient and emergency patient transportation service.
Vehicle Unit
Transportation service for the management, hospital personnel, home health care activity and patient transportation throughout the hospital (excluding the ambulance service) as well as special activities support and a vehicle maintenance service.
Award and Achievement
The Central Transport Administration Department has won the innovation award, ‘Cozy Block’ from the Performance Improvement Project managed by the Nursing Department in 2019. It also won the 1st prize in the poster presentation event at the Quality Fair, Thammasat University Hospital.
The ‘Cozy Block’ innovation was initiated to improve the inpatient transportation service. There was once an accident with a patient in a splint. The ‘Cozy Block’ was invented with adjustable functions to increase effectiveness and convenience to patients while it can be applied to all kinds of vehicles. This is one of the projects the Central Transport Administration Department are most proud of.
